Kana Honda

Hi! My name is Kana Honda, and I’m one of the LA for the 2026–27 academic year! I’m a third-year student at UVA majoring in Chemistry and Music. I was born in Japan and spent nine years growing up in Singapore before coming to the United States for college. For the past four years, I have also worked as an online English tutor, teaching students in Japan. Through that experience, I have enjoyed helping students build confidence in their language abilities and connecting with people from different backgrounds.
Outside of class, I am involved in undergraduate research in chemistry, and I am also a pianist and enjoy performing in chamber ensembles, and accompanying other musicians. I’m excited to meet all of you and help create a welcoming community this year. Please feel free to reach out or say hello whenever you see me!
