Daniel Son

Hello everyone! My name is Daniel, or you can call me Hamin (하민) if you'd like to address me by my Korean name, either one works perfectly fine for me! I am a 4th-year Biochemistry major at UVA. Throughout my childhood, I moved back and forth between the U.S. and South Korea, and I was fortunate enough to spend about half of my life in each country. I have been teaching Korean to elementary school children since my freshman year of high school, and I've always loved sharing the Korean language and culture. I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to do the same with all of you through our pod activities and dinners. I can’t wait to get to know you all. See you soon!

안녕하세요, 여러분! 제 이름은 대니얼(Daniel)입니다! 한국 이름이 편하신 분들은 ‘하민’이라고 불러주셔도 돼요. 둘 중 어떤 이름이든 좋습니다! 저는 UVA에서 생화학을 전공하고 있는 4학년입니다. 어렸을 때 미국과 한국을 자주 오가며 자란 덕분에, 감사하게도 인생의 절반은 한국에서, 나머지 절반은 미국에서 보낼 수 있었어요. 고등학교 1학년(9학년) 때부터 지금까지 초등학생 아이들에게 한국어를 가르쳐왔고, 한국어와 한국 문화를 알리는 일에 늘 보람과 즐거움을 느껴왔습니다. 이번에 파드 활동과 저녁 식사를 통해 여러분과도 함께 소중한 경험을 나눌 수 있게 되어 정말 기쁩니다. 여러분과 보낼 시간이 너무 기대되네요. 모두 곧 만나요!
